Federico is currently a Ph. D. student with already a strong expertise in organometallic synthesis. He is actively working on the synthesis and characterization of SABRE and PHIP catalysts and learning the art of running hyperpolarization experiments.

Ahmed Faramawy currently is a post doc. He got a Ph. D. degree from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Padua in 2021. His expertise spans Magnetic Nanoparticles, NMR, Nanophotonics, Nanoplasmonics, Optical Characterization, Electrical Measurements, and Photocatalytic and Degradation Processes.  

Federico has returned to Padua after earning his Ph. D. in molecular sciences in the group of Prof. Rastrelli at the University of Padua. After a extra short stay in Padua as a postdoc, he moved to Florence to work with Prof. Moreno Lelli and later spent 4 years in the group of Prof. Lyndon Emsley in Lausanne (CH). He is an expert in liquid-state and solid-state NMR, MAS DNP, optical-based hyperpolarization methods.

Luca has joined the group on December 2025 to work on developing new catalysts for parahydrogen-based applications. We wish him all the best!

Pierpaolo has spent the one month internship performing experiments with SABRE on [1-13C]pyruvate. The absolute first experiments in the group! He defended his bachelor's thesis successfully on September 09th 2024.
